Objectives of the Research Program
The main objective of the laboratory is to lead the trainings to the reseach by means of research, using technics of operations research, decision aid and applied statistics in order to serve the national economic development. The decision process consists in modelling and proposing feasible solutions to complex problems in the economic field such as strategic planification, allocation of scarce ressources, organization of industrial systems, and of complex systems.

In fact, the actual economic and social mutations generate decision problems more and more diversified and complex. The impact of such decisions concerns all levels of the economy and systems of asset production and services. But, the recent increase of computation capacities and the treatment of the information, together with the development of performent methodological tools (in computer science, operations research and statistics) allow the consideration of powerful methods to solve efficiently the challenges of development. Following is the list of decision aid problems considered in our program:

  • Decision aid for strategic planification.
  • Development of systems and algorithms of decision aid for the optimization of production of asset systems and services, and the leading process.
  • Development of quantitative techniques of control and the improvement of quality of the products and processes.
  • Optimization of the allocation and the management of (hydrolic) ressources.
  • Planification and management of transportation networks and telecommunication.
  • Choice problem in an uncertain universe.
  • Simulation of systems.
  • Management of production and logistic systems for the challenge resolution of the globalization.
  • The study of fiability and the improvement of the quality of the production systems

Research Activities

The research program of the LARODEC represents an important aid to the doctoral program of the higher institute of management of Tunis (ISG). The master and Phd program untitled Modeling and computer science (MIG), was initiated by our team. More than one hundred of ingeneers and students are affiliated to this graduate program.

Our program of research aims to enlarge the collaboration previously established with French colleagues in the context of the project « support to the DEA MIG of the ISG ». This project allowed more than 120 months of trainings for doctoral students, 15 months of SSHN for Tunisian research-academicians and more than 20 travels to Tunisia for the french colleagues. These activities allowed our students to initiate several researches
